Nicholas Logan
My practice is, almost exclusively, oil paint based. Traditional concerns; colour; form; texture; handling, engage, provoke and provide the raison d’être.
Having studied at The Glasgow School of Art, I graduated in 2003 with a sell-out degree show. After a year as the president of the student’s union, I made the transition to full-time artist.
I have had numerous shows throughout the United Kingdom. In 2003 I won the R.S. MacFarlane award at the Royal Glasgow Institute and I have also been shortlisted for the DLA Piper award, which culminated in a two month solo show in central London in 2006/2007.
