My inspiration begins with architecture; my fascination is with line, shape and space.  Paintings follow a process to achieve their abstraction through simplification, distortion and exaggeration.
Some pieces focus on the intricacy of the building forms, others on the dereliction and ruin, concentrating on the negative space that is seen through or around the structure.
The power of these forms is determined by a simple line or shape, an intensified colour, mark or even a change in medium
