  Julie Robertson

My life has taken me from the South West seascapes of Devon and Dorset to the stunning landscapes of Scotland and the North of England, to the cityscapes of London, Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham and now the Midlands and Birmingham for the last 17 years.

My work is intuitive and eclectic - I often find the pieces I make are an emotional and psychological response to stimuli from experiences and influences. A cerebral individual, my preoccupationwith visual expression of my ideas has recently taken me into new areas of 3-dimensional work, specifically bas-relief and free-standing pieces which frequently incorporate figurative references.

I combine my art practice with workshops, commissions and other creative activities on a freelance basis and hope to expand my practice into public commissions and opportunities abroad should they arise.

I graduated in 2006 from UCE where my work was mostly 3-dimensional, specifically large abstract sculptures influences by Artists such as Tony Cragg, Andy Goldsworthy and Petah Coyne.

I have exhibited in and around Birmingham, at St Martin's in the Bullring, Warwickshire and as far as the South Coast. I have done a variety of commissions in 3- and 2- dimensions.

My work is available online.
